Baby Bump shoots are generally about an hour to two hours, depending on your package and the members attending the shoot. Quick enough to not drag out (especially for most men), long enough to capture the essence of your relationship.

Plan to remove any tight clothing or with elastic at least two hours prior to your session to avoid marks on your body. Try to wear a loose fitting dress to keep your skin smooth. This is especially important if you plan to have any nude or semi-nude portraits. You are also welcome to bring your own. Anything that accentuates your pregnant belly is suitable. Stretchy or lace materials are perfect. During your consult we will discuss the style of shoot you want and talk about what to wear in further detail.

Why not? They say special moments should be shared, and we do think so too! Capturing your baby bump pictures are a significant moment, not only in your life, but in the life of your family as well! Get your co-creating partner, and if you have kids, round them up too and have a great memory keepsake for the family to share, enjoy and reminisce.

We, generally, like to schedule your BabyBump session between 34 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. By this stage your baby belly will have that gorgeous round shape, perfect for beautiful looking photographs. After the 36th week, most moms-to-be tend to feel uncomfortable and fatigued during their session so it is a matter of finding the right balance for you.

Indoor sessions are available from 10am. Outdoor sessions are best had during golden hour when the light is softest. This is around 1-2 hours before sunset. Exact times will vary at different times of the year and can be discussed when booking your session.

Studio Shoot
Pros:
There will be a changing room area ready for you when you arrive.
It will not be as tiring as an outdoor shoot, as you would be confined to the space of the studio.

Cons:
Limited settings to choose from in the selection.//

Outdoor Shoot
Pros:
You will have a plethora of greenery and scenery to choose from. The world is practically your oyster here.
If you have children included in the shoot, they would prefer an outdoor area where they would be able to run around and have fun during the shoot.

Cons:
Limited options for changing your outfits as you will be on the go. Thus, that would limit your clothing options.

You do not need to have any previous experience with posing. We will guide you through the posing process. If you have any concerns about stretch marks or any part of your body you feel uncomfortable with we will discuss this and I will pose you in a way to hide these things in a flattering manner.

Yes of course! This is your maternity session. We will guide you and suggest ideas about posing, looks, locations and props but you are more then welcome to send me anything that inspires you. We encourage you to create a Pinterest board that you can share with me. Visual ideas are so much easier to understand and discuss. Please keep in mind though that it is only inspiration and the images we create are unique and will not look the same as another photographer’s work.

It is so important to select a day where you have nothing else planned. Having to rush between events causes stress which can show in the final images. Have lots of time to prepare and get plenty of rest. Perhaps treat your self to a relaxing bath. Keep hydrated and have a light snack before the session to keep your energy levels up. Leave everything else up to us.

We rarely meet a client who doesn’t. It’s ok! This is a very natural and normal feeling that most mommas-to-be experience, especially with their first pregnancy. You are growing a little baby inside of your body and with that comes a lot of changes to your own body. Through my lens I see these changes as absolutely miraculous and gorgeous and my number one priority as a professional photographer is to make you feel and LOOK your best during our time together. So, rest assured you will look gorgeous in your photographs.

We can do them in your home and outside or at a location of your choice or at our studio. I can brainstorm with you for great location ideas depending on the look you want.

Your BabyBump photo shoot will be a joyful, meaningful and comfortable experience. Before we begin, we will review a few key elements such as posing and interacting with your significant other or children so you have some direction. If your children are in the session we will take some time to get to know them so that they feel comfortable with us. our intention is for these sessions to be a fun experience for everyone involved, including your kiddos. We will guide you through some poses and aim to capture beautiful moments of interaction. It’s these little moments between you and your family that you will cherish forever.
